The Slovensky Cuvac is a breed that was developed in then Czechoslovakia and shares many of the same qualities as a Kuvasz. These quiet, loyal, and gentle dogs are extremely reliable and can easily become your best friend with their calm personalities. They are protectors of their family and like to take on the family role of the guardian. The Cuvac can sometimes be independent, and therefore should be properly socialized at a young age in order to assure they know who is pack leader. These dogs need a strong-willed owner who perhaps has had some prior experience with dogs.
