The Saluki is an ancient breed dating back to the age of the Egyptian Pharoahs. This gorgeous, regal breed resembles a greyhound and an afghan hound, but has a grace unto its own. Their temperaments are sensitive and gentle with large doses of affection. They are very good with children since they are so slender and gentle-natured. However, these dogs are not friendly with non-canine animals. They make wonderful, obedient pets and even better companions.
