A boyscout by nature, the Clumber Spaniel is loving and affectionate with children. If they sense that their
family or owners are weak willed, they will try to become dominant. Once again, socializing will always help in them becoming familiar with strangers later on. Having a good memory, they do not take long to train is a calm but firm manner is used.
Beware of over feeding due to this breed gaining weight easily. As loving as they are, you may want to beware some health issues prone to this breed; Panosteitis, Cataracts, Dry Eyes & Entropian. This breed will do well living in an apartment, if they get enough daily activity. The Clumber Spaniel's coat should be groomed
with abrush and a comb.
