Coldwater Labradors has a loveable chocolate male Labrador that has just turned one year old. He was bred by us and his family is unable to keep him due to uncontrollable circumstances and so Guinness is looking for a new loving family.
Guinness is already neutered, fully house and crate trained, gets along super well with other dogs, questionable with cats he chases them but is not aggressive, has been raised with children, is used to an under-ground fence system, is up to date on all of his shots, has recent heartworm and fecal test, has normal eyes, normal elbows and good hips for his age. He walks well on a lead and though he was a star pupil in obedience class as a puppy he will need a brush up. He likes to play Frisbee, likes water and may even be a good hunting companion with proper training.
He will need a family that will give him a bit of time to adjust. He is a very loyal dog and very well adjusted at home but when presented with new people he takes a little time to warm up because he is a bit scared. Once he knows he can trust them he will come say hello. Having treats in your pocket sure helps.
We place all of our dogs with a one week trial period to ensure satisfaction. If he is not working out you can bring him back for a full refund. Our main concern is that Guinness is happy with his new home and his new family is satisfied.
As a puppy he was raised on the Military Super Dog Training Program, evaluated for energy level, trainability, disposition, intelligence, retrieving desire, conformation and many other attributes, bottle supplemented for proper human bonding. Both of his parents have a full array of health clearances and his guarantee is a 30 month temperament and genetic health agreement that will be extended to his new owner.
